Another half marathon under the belt. It was not the best I’ve had, but being honest, I was relying in my training for the half Ironman a@month ago, and not actually preparing for this race. However, I enjoyed it a lot! #Lima21k

Today I didn’t have anything planned. I started running without being sure about how I would feel after a sick weekend. I chose the route as I went along and I ended up running 17km. Wohoo! 🙌🏻 for more days like this!

I admit it: I have a race hangover which has kept me off from training for the past couple of weeks. It’s good to take some time off. However, today I felt like running just to show off my race souvenir. Love my tank 💛

After a few months of learning how to juggle with life, a toddler and training, this is how my race finished! I couldn’t be happier with the result! . There are some times in which you know that for one reason or another you are not at your 100%... this time was the total opposite! I felt like everything went my way. During training I never got sick or injured. I followed a plan which I made myself to accommodate my life, strengths and weaknesses. Additionally it was a special date since it was exactly 5 years since my mother passed away so I had her close to my heart the whole time. I also had a great cheering squad and friends motivating me to keep strong. . The race began and I swam better than ever! Swimming is my weakest sport out of the three. I managed to swim under 40 minutes which sounds average for most, but I was over the moon! The bike was fun. There was one big hill where we had to pass 4 times, but there was a cheering crowd that made it bearable, even exciting. Then came the run, which normally is my strongest. In this leg I suffered the most because it was sunny and hot and I wanted to stay strong, but my legs were getting tired. Regardless, I managed to do it with a good result. .
